Tara Rose, Ph.D. Dr. Tara Rose serves as Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and provides leadership for accreditation, planning, assessment, program review, and accountability initiatives. Dr. Rose has over 18 years of experience working in higher education. She has also spent time at the state level working for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. She previously served as the Director of Assessment at the University of Kentucky and has 10 years of online teaching experience with Eastern Kentucky University in the Department of Homeland Security. She was a founding member of the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE) and a Board Member from 2014-2021, previously holding the position of President in AY 2015-16. In her first year at LSU, she founded the Louisiana Assessment Group (LAAG). In 2019, Dr. Rose was appointed as Senior Fellow with the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). |

Rachel May Rachel May serves as Associate Director of Assessment. She leads student learning outcome assessment efforts across the university, including academic degree programs, stand-alone certificate programs, and the Integrative Learning Core (ILC). She works closely with faculty to support their continuous improvement efforts. Rachel is the primary resource for training and technical assistance with Planning & Self-Study, LSU’s institutional effectiveness reporting system. Prior to joining the Office of Institutional Effectiveness in 2021, Rachel spent six years in LSU’s Department of Geology & Geophysics as External Relations Coordinator and Assistant Business Manager, working closely with faculty, students, and staff to advance departmental continuous improvement. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Public Administration.

Claire Sassic Young, MPA Claire Sassic Young serves as the Associate Director for Institutional Effectiveness, leading initiatives that strengthen accreditation compliance across the institution. In this role, she oversees Substantive Change, administers the Modern Campus Curriculum (MCC) system, and manages the office’s business and HR operations. Claire also represents the office on key university committees and works closely with programs undergoing specialized accreditation to ensure alignment with institutional and regulatory standards. Claire previously worked at LSU’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training before joining the Office of Institutional Effectiveness in 2021. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration and is currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. |

Mia Brudnicki Mia Brudnicki serves as Assistant Director of Planning and Assessment. She directs LSU’s academic program review process and campus-wide strategic planning initiatives for academic and administrative units, ensuring compliance with institutional requirements and supporting assessment activities. Mia has over 20 years of experience with state government and higher education. She previously worked for the California State Assembly and Senate, leading efforts in higher education legislation, and spent five years with the California State University System at Stanislaus State as Special Initiatives Analyst, where she managed the WASC accreditation process. During her time at LSU, she has worked for the Vice President of Strategic Planning and the Vice President of Innovation & Enterprise Development. Mia is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration from LSU. |

Lee Daigle Lee Daigle serves as the Evaluation and Engagement Manager in LSU’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness, where he plays a key leadership role in managing the university’s course evaluation system and related processes. He leads the development and execution of the office’s communications strategy, delivering clear, engaging, and accessible information to campus stakeholders through strategic messaging and innovative communication projects. Prior to joining the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, he served nearly two years in the LSU Office of the University Registrar and previously gained experience in admissions, recruiting, university relations, and continuing education at Nicholls State University. Lee is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Leadership and Human Resource Development. |
