Faculty Colloquium
The Faculty Colloquium is a half-day event designed to bring faculty together for focused professional development. It is held on an annual basis the week prior to the start of the spring semester. The colloquium features a keynote address from a nationally recognized expert in higher education teaching, offering fresh insights and strategies for the classroom. Following the keynote, attendees participate in an interactive Q&A session and a hands-on workshop aimed at practical application. The event also includes a lunch, providing time for informal networking and discussion among colleagues.

Go Somewhere: Reimagining Technology in Education for a Better Tomorrow
This keynote explores the critical role of technology in reshaping education, questioning the concept of digital natives, and considering a more constructive frame to define digital fluencies. We examine the ethical implications of technology use in education, such as digital redlining, surveillance, and algorithmic bias. Discover innovative approaches to integrating technology into teaching and learning, inspired by educators from around the world.

Biography of Keynote Speaker
Bonni Stachowiak is the host of the Teaching in Higher Ed podcast, which has been downloaded nearly 5 million times. She serves as dean of teaching and learning and professor of business and management at Vanguard University of Southern California.
As the creator and host of Teaching in Higher Ed, Bonni explores the art and science of teaching, amplifying diverse educators' voices and fostering a global learning community. The podcast won the MERLOT Classics Award in 2016 and has been featured in publications like Inside Higher Ed and The Chronicle of Higher Education.
Bonni holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University. She frequently speaks at universities and conferences on effective teaching strategies and educational technology. Bonni's husband, Dave Stachowiak, hosts the Coaching for Leaders podcast, with over 30 million downloads. Together, they inspire many in their educational and professional journeys and are parents to two curious children.
