Biography

Sein Oh is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Information Studies at Louisiana State University. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Information Studies at Florida State University, with an expected graduate certificate in Measurement and Statistics by Summer 2025. Sein holds a Master’s degree in Information Science from Indiana University and a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from Myongji University, South Korea, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Her research centers on privacy literacy, health information literacy, and collaborative community partnerships with public libraries, with a particular focus on digital literacy and opioid harm reduction. Sein has published peer-reviewed articles in Information and Learning Sciences and presented at major conferences such as the iConference, ASIS&T, and ALISE. She is actively involved in advancing privacy literacy standards through national forums and has earned numerous fellowships and scholarships in recognition of her academic and mentorship contributions.
